Message from Sally
I've raised over £1000 to help the RDA provide pony riding sessions for children with disabilities. Some of you will know that I'm a volunteer for my local RDA group. Every week, we get together to work with children with a range of abilities and disabilities. They are all unique but have one thing in common; they love learning to ride ponies. It's something that many children with disabilities would never have the chance to do without the work of the RDA.
On October 20th 2024, I completed the Yorkshire Marathon to raise money for this amazing charity. I definitely wasn't be the fastest runner there but I am so grateful for everybody who supported me and donated to this great cause. To give you an idea of the good that your donation will do:
£10 helps us to us award each child a rosette. £20 helps us to recruit new volunteers. £30 will help pay for specialised riding equipment. £40 helps us find and hire suitable ponies. £50 will help us train an RDA Coach.
RDA’s work is delivered by 18,000 volunteers through 500 local groups across the UK. No other UK charity delivers the work we do; our activities (from riding and carriage driving, volunteer training, holidays and educational activities) all have the same goal - focusing on what each person ‘can do’ to achieve physical and mental wellbeing; with the end goal of enriching lives and changing futures.
We need your support to continue the vital work we do and benefit the RDA Nottingham.
